Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic disability dance coach to join our Sports and Activity Development team at Enable. This is a unique opportunity to support young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) in Wandsworth.

Main Duties/Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver high-quality sensory dance sessions for young people with SEND, adapting to their varying needs and abilities.
  • Provide motivation and encouragement for participants and their families to engage in each session.
  • Responsible for setting up, packing away, and monitoring equipment, reporting any damage or loss to the project lead.
  • Taking weekly registers and monitoring attendance.
  • Provide regular communication to the Senior Disability Sport and Activity Lead with details of attendance and progress.
  • Supervise volunteers or assistant coaches, ensuring they have defined roles in the sessions.
  • Responsible for administering first aid in the event of an accident and ensuring safety requirements are met.
