Job Description

This role plays a crucial part in supporting and developing the use of creative audio-visual technologies across our institution. As one of four technicians, you will be responsible for day-to-day support for both Music and Dance Faculties, including equipment maintenance, issuing and returning borrowable equipment, and responding to queries.

You will also provide live sound and general projection support at performances and events, video capture, editing, and distribution of selected performances and assessments.


Key Responsibilities
  1. Support teaching staff in maximising the use of multimedia to enhance lessons
  2. Provide technical expertise to students and staff on the range of borrowable equipment offered for loans
  3. Liaise with colleagues to ensure seamless delivery of audio-visual services

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need a passion for audio visual media, video editing, and using cameras and projectors creatively. You should have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as experience with audiovisual technologies. A friendly and supportive approach is essential in dealing with students and staff from diverse backgrounds.
