Cyber Security Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Specialist to join our team at Intelligence Connected. As a key member of our Group Technology and Operations (GTO) function, you will play a critical role in maintaining and improving our industry-leading security technologies.
This is a multifaceted technical role that involves:
- Maintaining and Developing Cyber Security Tooling: Ensure a robust and resilient security configuration, recommending and implementing improvements as necessary.
- Managing Security Technologies: Maintain and perform DR testing of security technologies to ensure ongoing operation and support.
- Supporting Security Operations: Collaborate with other Security Operations teams in responding to Cyber incidents.
- Access Management: Operate Access Management solutions to protect access to systems and data.
- Security and Business Change: Support security and business change portfolios with a focus on service integration into BAU operations.
- Application Security Testing: Take ownership of analyzing security outputs and reports to drive investigations and improvements.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Technical Experience: Proven experience working in a technical Cyber or IT Infrastructure team.
- Cloud Services Knowledge: Knowledge of Cloud services and their application in a security context.
- Operating System Experience: Hands-on experience with Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Vulnerability Management: Experience in vulnerability management and application security technologies.
- Privileged Access Management: Experience with privileged access management platforms.
- Cyber Security Technologies: Experience with Cyber security technologies, such as EDR, DLP, IPS, and WAF.
- Security Certifications: Security certifications, such as CISSP, CISM, or CompTIA Sec+, are desirable.
We are looking for a candidate with a strong understanding of Cyber Security frameworks and standards, such as NIST, and a good understanding of information security concepts, technologies, and best practices. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, effective communication and presentation abilities, and working knowledge of OWASP, MITRE, CVSS, and other relevant standards are essential. Experience in managing risks and issues, implementing mitigation strategies, and manipulating data to extract insight and provide reporting to key stakeholders is also required. Previous experience in a regulated environment in the financial services industry is desirable. Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Power BI is preferable.
