We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Night Theatre Practitioner to join our team at Northampton General Hospital NHS Trust.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the smooth operation of our theatres.

As a Night Theatre Practitioner, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and maintenance of theatre equipment, ensuring a safe and efficient operating environment for patients and staff.

You will work closely with our theatre team to provide excellent patient care, adhering to strict protocols and guidelines to ensure the highest standards of care.

This role requires strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a pressurized environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of theatre equipment, ensuring a safe and efficient operating environment.
  • Provide excellent patient care, adhering to strict protocols and guidelines.
  • Work closely with the theatre team to ensure smooth operation of theatres.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to improve patient care and theatre efficiency.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain and enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner qualification.
  • Experience in a theatre or perioperative setting.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a pressurized environment.
  • Competent in the use of medical equipment and technology.
