Chief Financial and Operating Officer

We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic individual to join our Senior Leadership Team as Chief Financial and Operating Officer. This is a critical leadership position that will play a strategic part in the next stage of our school's development.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the effective leadership and management of our day-to-day non-educational operations, including finance, estates, human resources, IT, facilities, compliance, and all commercial activities. They will possess outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, exceptional financial acumen, and robust commercial judgement.

We are a leading independent day school for 760 girls aged 7–18, located in Fallowfield, just three miles south of Manchester's city centre. Our academic results are outstanding, consistently ranked as the top independent school in the North West.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the day-to-day non-educational operations of the school
  • Develop and implement strategic plans for finance, estates, human resources, IT, facilities, compliance, and commercial activities
  • Collaborate with the Headmistress, Governors, and colleagues to achieve school goals
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
