About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating care services for Cambridgeshire County Council. This will involve:
- Responding to service requests for care home and community services using our block and spot contracts.
- Managing an active case load of referrals and effectively communicating with providers, service users, families, and professionals.
- Negotiating and managing care placement prices with independent sector care homes and care agencies.
- Recording detailed notes on our case management system (Mosaic) and using the Microsoft Office package on a daily basis.
- Assisting with monitoring and/or management of budgets in accordance with County council financial processes, systems, and instructions as necessary.
- Undertaking general clerical and administrative tasks and supporting the team and service as required.
- Responding to queries, liaising with Officers, Managers, and departments to ensure all advice and communication is delivered to County Council standards and regulatory guidelines.
About You
The successful candidate will:
- Be educated to GCSE Level standard, NVQ3 or equivalent standard.
- Have extensive office administrative experience.
- Be fully proficient at using IT systems, with a good working knowledge of the Microsoft Office package.
- Have knowledge of health and safety legislation.
- Have knowledge of Data Protection and Equal Opportunities legislation and their requirements.
- Understand financial management, procedures, and processes.
- Be able to prioritize workload and manage multiple cases.
- Be able to consistently produce work of a high standard.
- Have good interpersonal skills and be able to communicate in a friendly, open, and constructive manner.
- Be able to work on their own initiative with minimal supervision.
- Be committed to continuous service development.
- Be adaptable and flexible to the needs of the Team with a willingness to learn and develop.
