HGV Technician Job Description

Are you a skilled HGV Technician looking for a new challenge? We have an exciting opportunity for a qualified HGV Technician to join our team at Platinum Recruitment Consultancy Limited.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled HGV Technician to join our team in Richmond, North Yorkshire. As a HGV Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a fleet of heavy equipment transporters on behalf of the Army. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified HGV Technician to work with a leading MoD contractor and develop your skills in a dynamic and challenging environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair heavy equipment transporters to a high standard
  • Work as a sponsored army reservist, participating in military training and exercises
  • Travel to UK and Germany as required
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure efficient and effective maintenance of the fleet
Requirements
  • Fully qualified HGV Technician with City and Guilds or NVQ level 3
  • Experience across a wide range of commercial vehicles and equipment
  • No more than 6 points on your licence
  • Medically and physically fit to meet the Army training requirements
What We Offer
  • Basic salary of £46,000 + earnings of £62,000
  • Mileage allowance paid to and from work
  • All overtime paid at enhanced rates
  • 44 hour standard week Monday to Friday
  • Overtime and army reserve bonus will boost earnings to c£62,000
  • Excellent pension and benefits
  • Additional HGV technician training
