Job Title: Research Associate in ELSI Genomics

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Research Associate to join our team at The University of Manchester. The successful candidate will work on a project focused on exploring the impact and outcomes in rare conditions clinical trials.

About the Role

This is a full-time appointment on a fixed-term contract for 2 years, funded by the MRC/NIHR. The post holder will work with project leads, partners, and project managers to deliver study objectives. Responsibilities will include conducting research interviews with patient and non-patient participants, analyzing qualitative and quantitative data, and working with clinical teams to promote study participation.

Requirements

The post holder will hold a postgraduate qualification in Genetic/Genomic Counselling, Genomic Medicine, Nursing, Psychology, Medical Sociology, or Social Sciences. Experience working with patients or vulnerable/marginalized people is essential. Holding or being close to completion of a relevant PhD/DPhil is desirable.
