Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our team at a SEND school in Kingston. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with special educational needs and disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support to pupils with SEND, adapting the curriculum to meet their needs and promote progress.
  • Work closely with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement effective learning strategies.
  • Assist with the planning and delivery of lessons, ensuring that pupils with SEND are fully included and engaged.
  • Monitor and record pupil progress, providing regular feedback to teachers and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with other professionals, such as therapists and counselors, to provide comprehensive support to pupils.
Requirements
  • Relevant qualifications and experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with pupils, teachers, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach.
  • Knowledge of SEND policies and procedures, with a commitment to inclusive practice.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
