Key Responsibilities

:
  • Delivering comprehensive administrative and secretarial assistance to medical teams.
  • Effectively communicating with patients and their families about appointments and medical services.
  • Independently managing workload and collaborating with the administrative team.
  • Providing secretarial support and audio typing services for healthcare professionals.
  • Attending meetings and documenting minutes as required.
  • Managing incoming and outgoing communications, addressing queries efficiently.
  • Assisting in the collection of statistics and information, ensuring tasks are monitored and completed.
  • Typing correspondence for healthcare providers and management, and providing coverage for colleagues as necessary.
  • Coordinating with external agencies and services as required.
  • Handling telephone inquiries, processing referrals, and other related tasks.

Candidate Profile

Required Qualifications

:
  • NVQ level 3-4.
  • Prior experience in Medical Secretarial or Personal Assistant roles.
  • Proficiency in IT and familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Capability to work autonomously, under pressure, and collaboratively.
  • Keen attention to confidentiality and detail.
  • Ability to navigate challenging situations and engage with diverse groups.

Preferred Qualifications

:
  • Formal training in Customer Service.
  • Experience with SystmOne and NHS practices.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and digital dictation.
  • Professional telephone etiquette and audio typing skills.
  • Proficiency in data entry and retrieval in computerized systems.
