Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Leadership: Oversee and direct passive fire protection projects from inception to completion, ensuring compliance with timelines, budgetary limits, and quality benchmarks.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Keep abreast of the latest fire safety regulations and standards across the UK and Europe, ensuring all passive fire protection systems meet or surpass these criteria.
  • Technical Guidance: Offer expert advice and support to project teams, including design evaluations, material choices, and installation techniques, to guarantee effective fire protection solutions.
  • Team Oversight: Manage a team of technicians, providing coaching, training, and direction to ensure high-quality output, adherence to safety protocols, and efficient resource management.
  • Collaboration with Stakeholders: Work closely with both internal and external parties, including architects, engineers, contractors, and regulatory bodies, to synchronize project efforts, address challenges, and facilitate seamless project execution.
  • Quality Control: Establish and enforce quality assurance protocols to ensure that passive fire protection installations are executed to the highest standards, conducting regular inspections and audits to identify and rectify any issues.
  • Documentation Management: Maintain comprehensive project records, including drawings, specifications, progress updates, and compliance documentation, ensuring thorough record-keeping and adherence to regulations.
  • Innovation and Improvement: Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies in passive fire protection, proactively seeking ways to enhance processes, boost efficiency, and foster innovation within the team.

Required Experience and Skills:
  • Strong focus on quality.
  • Experience in client-facing roles.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Comprehensive understanding of fire protection standards.
  • In-depth knowledge of service delivery capabilities.
  • Background in technical engineering.
  • Completion of Level 3 – Foundation Course in Passive Fire Protection (or equivalent).
