Position Overview

As the Deputy Commercial Manager, you will spearhead pricing strategies and product data management for the UK and Ireland markets. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring compliance and fostering strategic collaboration with both local and European teams. You will drive operational efficiency and automation while providing expert support to your colleagues, contributing to both team objectives and personal growth. Your efforts will significantly influence the company's success and financial performance. Additionally, you will serve as the acting Commercial Manager when required.

Your Responsibilities

  • Engage with various local and European departments to maintain organized, efficient, and current information on relevant projects; actively seek improvement opportunities within existing systems.
  • Strategically contribute to the company's success and financial growth, particularly in the realm of automated pricing initiatives.
  • Facilitate the professional development of team members through coaching and training, while also providing on-demand support and expertise in pricing and product data management.
  • Enhance your own professional and personal development by undertaking diverse responsibilities within the team, ensuring that team targets and KPIs are consistently met.
  • Assume responsibility for pricing matters across all customer segments within the UK and Ireland markets.
  • Collaborate with the External Sales and Customer Service teams to ensure accurate maintenance and input of customer pricing and related documentation in compliance with group standards.
  • Act as the primary contact for market-specific inquiries related to pricing and product data.
  • Oversee topics related to wood certification sales (FSC/PEFC), working closely with relevant departments to ensure compliance and support our customers.
  • Assist in defining product range modules for the UK and Ireland markets in conjunction with the EDP, PM, and Sales Management teams.
  • Step in as the Commercial Manager as needed.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and accuracy in managing pricing and product data, including claimback pricing management.
  • Work collaboratively with the EGGER sales teams to meet sales targets and KPIs.

Qualifications

  • A degree in Business, Commerce, or Marketing is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Possession of a full UK driving license.
  • Intermediate IT skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Prior experience in a related role is advantageous.
  • Strong organizational skills, efficiency, and a personable demeanor with a confident telephone manner.
  • Able to cultivate and maintain robust stakeholder relationships.
