Our client, a reputable company based in the outskirts of Melton Mowbray, is seeking a skilled HGV/Plant Fitter to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis.
The Role:
- Carrying out vehicle maintenance, including servicing, inspections, defect repairs, MOT preparations, and breakdowns, as well as any other work requested by the Manager.
- Ensuring the highest standards of workmanship and adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations.
- Working collaboratively with the team to achieve operational excellence and meet business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performing routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements.
- Diagnosing and repairing complex mechanical issues with HGVs and plant equipment.
- Conducting thorough inspections to identify potential problems and prevent downtime.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an HGV/Plant Fitter or equivalent role.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair principles.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
