About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced HGV and Plant Fitter to join our team at Flat Fee Recruiter. As an HGV and Plant Fitter, you will play a critical role in maintaining our fleet of Scania HGVs and construction equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out regular maintenance and servicing of our Scania HGVs and construction vehicles.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical issues quickly and effectively.
  • Perform scheduled inspections, identify worn or faulty parts, and make necessary replacements.
  • Maintain an inventory of spare parts and tools.
  • Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations, conducting risk assessments when necessary.
  • Keep accurate maintenance records, detailing parts used, time spent, and any issues encountered.
  • Provide technical advice and support to colleagues as needed.
  • Work closely with other teams to ensure smooth coordination of maintenance activities.
Requirements
  • Relevant qualifications in mechanical engineering or a related field.
  • Full driving license and willingness to travel to various locations as required.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and risk assessment procedures.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
