Job Summary:

The Emerald Group is seeking a highly skilled Senior Actuary to lead the delivery and analysis of the Group's SII actuarial reporting requirements. This is a key role that will support the development and maintenance of actuarial reporting metrics.

About the Role:

  • Lead the production of actuarial information: To lead the production of the actuarial information required to support the Group's internal and external reporting of Solvency II, as well as the information required for planning & analysis of these metrics.
  • Develop and implement SII methodology: To lead the development and implementation of any SII methodology and regulatory changes.
  • Actuarial systems development: Development and maintenance of Group-wide methodology to be deployed in actuarial systems required to fulfil the team's objectives.
  • Support to Heads of Capital Reporting: To support the Heads of Capital Reporting and Analysis to set the bases required for actuarial reporting and analysis purposes.
  • Testing and quality assurance: To ensure timely testing of the tools developed by the Actuarial Systems team for actuarial reporting and analysis purposes.
  • Reporting process improvement: To develop and improve the reporting processes used for actuarial reporting and analysis purposes.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Actuary: Qualified Actuary with a strong understanding of insurance products and markets, including UK reporting regulations.
  • Actuarial reporting experience: Experience of an actuarial reporting function, ideally with experience of annuities and LTM.
  • Analytical skills: Able to assess materiality of issues and determine appropriate course of action.
