We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Energy Transition Specialist to join our team at First Recruitment Group.
This is a senior position in our HSE team, supporting the Energy & Emissions Manager in the provision of energy transition services for our UK business.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering climate change and energy transition commitments, ensuring the company's net-zero commitment is met, and leading performance reporting and assurance in line with regulatory requirements and targets.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Energy & Emissions Manager in the development and delivery of energy transition strategies and plans.
- Engage with stakeholders, including partners, regulatory bodies, and industry associations, to influence and collaborate on energy transition initiatives.
- Provide input and advice on asset lifecycle energy transition requirements and considerations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company commitments.
- Coordinate and determine greenhouse gas emissions forecasts to inform the net-zero strategy and business planning.
- Relevant degree-qualified environmental science or environmental engineering professional with extensive industry experience.
- Member of a professional body, with ongoing CPD and working towards Chartered status.
- Experience working in a team with oil and gas operating assets, wells, and project developments in an environmentally related role.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively across the business and HSES team.
