Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Electrical Engineer to join our team in the Defence sector. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership and expertise in the design, development, and integration of electrical systems for sub-sea defence projects.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead the design and development of electrical systems for sub-sea defence projects, ensuring compliance with defence standards and regulations.
  2. Manage and coordinate the work of electrical engineers and technicians to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of projects.
  3. Develop and maintain technical specifications, diagrams, and documentation for electrical systems.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems with other project components.
  5. Provide technical support and guidance to project teams, ensuring that electrical systems meet project requirements and defence standards.
  6. Develop and implement quality assurance processes to ensure the delivery of high-quality electrical systems.
  7. Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in electrical systems, applying this knowledge to improve project outcomes.
Requirements
  • BEng (Hons) / MEng or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • CEng (or be able to satisfy requirements for CEng).
  • Proven experience in electrical systems design and development, with a focus on defence projects.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
