We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cost Manager to join our team at Gleeds Corporate Services Ltd. As a key member of our cost management team, you will be responsible for managing costs and budgets of construction projects, including new builds, renovations, and maintenance works.
Key Responsibilities- Provide cost advice to clients and stakeholders from the early stages of a project to settlement of the final account.
- Support Business Unit Directors in delivering business objectives and ensuring that cost management deliverables meet customer requirements.
- Manage projects and deliver high-quality services and deliverables in accordance with business procedures.
- Develop and implement cost planning strategies to ensure projects are delivered within budget.
- Settle final accounts and administer contracts as Contract Administrator or Employer's Agent.
- Identify new business development opportunities and drive growth across the business units' activities.
- Advise Directors promptly of any issues that have arisen or may arise on projects.
- Sound knowledge and practical experience of cost estimating and planning.
- Good knowledge of construction methods and materials.
- Working knowledge of construction procurement strategies, including tendering and contract strategies.
- Sound ICT skills, with a good level of proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Clear understanding of legislation impacting on building contracts.
