Position Summary:

The Press Brake Setter/Operator will be responsible for the fabrication of both small and large quantities of intricate sheet metal parts utilizing both CNC and manual press brake machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fabricate high-precision sheet metal components using advanced Amada HFE, EG4010, and HFB CNC Press Brakes.
  • Employ precision measuring tools such as Vernier Calipers, Protractors, and Vernier Height Gauges.
  • Maintain and operate additional equipment including Fly-Press, Guillotines, and Drilling Machines.
  • Uphold rigorous housekeeping standards and comply with Health & Safety regulations.
  • Assist colleagues with various operational tasks as required.
  • Engage in manufacturing processes across different areas such as Assembly, Machine Shop, and Fabrication.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Experience in precision sheet metal work.
  • Proven ability to set up and operate both CNC and manual press brakes.
  • Competence in interpreting engineering schematics.
  • Skilled in utilizing engineering measurement instruments.
  • Able to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Capacity to perform efficiently under tight deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths at grade C or above.
  • Relevant engineering qualification or apprenticeship.
  • Background in the aerospace industry.
  • Certification in power press setting and operation.
  • Familiarity with aerospace materials, including L163-T3 sheet.

Compensation: Competitive hourly rate.

Work Schedule: Permanent, Full-Time, 39 Hours per week.
