We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant – Supply and Distribution to join our team at East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth supply and distribution of pharmaceutical products to our patients.

In this position, you will be responsible for receiving, unpacking, and checking orders, participating in stock control programs, and delivering pharmacy stock to clinical areas. You will also be responsible for checking ward stock meticulously and providing professional and timely service to our patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Receive, unpack, and check orders in a timely and accurate manner
  • Participate in stock control programs to ensure accurate inventory levels
  • Deliver pharmacy stock to clinical areas in a safe and efficient manner
  • Check ward stock meticulously to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Provide professional and timely service to patients and staff
Requirements:
  • NVQ Level 2 in pharmacy services or working towards
  • GCSE grade C or above in English and Maths
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Pharmacy procurement and stock control knowledge
  • Basic keyboard skills and proficiency in IT systems
  • Good numerical skills and attention to detail
Experience:
  • Experience in a pharmacy or hospital setting
  • Producing reports from pharmacy computer systems
Personal Qualities:
  • Good team player with excellent communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize workload and work under pressure
