Financial Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Accountant to join our dynamic finance team at CV-Library. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in shaping and managing our organisation's finance function.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare and post duly authorised journals in line with Company policies, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
- Oversee the payroll process, ensuring accurate accounting entries and timely payments to employees and HMRC.
- Develop and document business processes, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in our finance operations.
- Manage the annual audit process, liaising with external auditors and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Prepare the annual statutory accounts, including consolidated balance sheets and profit and loss accounts.
- Support the Financial Controller as needed, providing expertise and guidance on financial matters.
- Detailed knowledge of accounting standards and statutory requirements.
- Preparation of consolidated, multi-currency financial statements and use of consolidation software/packages.
- Experience of working in a fast-paced, dynamic digital business.
- Knowledge of UK R&D Tax Legislation.
- Experience of supporting the implementation of an ERP system.
- Understanding of VAT rules and reporting requirements.
- Experience of working in a multi-currency environment.
- Interrogation, extraction and manipulation of data from ERP systems.
- Extensive use of advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.
- ACA/ACCA qualified with 3 years PQ experience.
