Diesel Generator Technician

We are seeking an experienced Diesel Generator Engineer to join our team at Blue Arrow - Burton on Trent. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the routine maintenance, repair, and installation of commercial diesel generators.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform routine maintenance tasks on generators to ensure optimal performance and prevent downtime
- Diagnose and repair complex generator issues, including electrical and mechanical faults
- Install and commission new generators, ensuring compliance with safety regulations
- Collaborate with the operations team to coordinate repairs, maintenance, and installations
- Conduct final safety inspections of generators prior to delivery
- Proven experience in diagnosing and repairing commercial diesel generators
- Familiarity with regular generator maintenance protocols
- Capability to install plumbing and electrical components
- Willingness to assist the operations team with fabrication and cleaning tasks during downtime
- Experience with brands such as Stephill, Genquip, or AJC would be beneficial
- Previous welding skills would be beneficial
- A competitive hourly rate of £17.45
- A 45-hour working week, with overtime available during peak periods
