Job Opportunity

Origin Legal Ltd is seeking a highly experienced and driven Corporate Lawyer Leader to join our team as a Team Leader of the Corporate and Commercial department.

About the Role

  • Lead a highly successful and motivated team of lawyers and support staff.
  • Develop and implement a team strategy and plan for growth, identifying areas for expansion and new revenue streams.
  • Coach and mentor team members, providing guidance and support to ensure their professional development.
  • Report to the senior management team, providing regular updates on team performance and progress.
  • Identify training needs amongst team members and implement training programs to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of lawyers and support staff, providing guidance and direction to ensure the successful delivery of corporate and commercial transactions.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, identifying new business opportunities and building on existing relationships.
  • Manage and develop the team's workload, prioritizing tasks and ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Collaborate with other departments within the firm to ensure seamless delivery of services to clients.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in corporate and commercial law, ensuring the team's knowledge and expertise are current and relevant.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in corporate and commercial law, with a proven track record of success.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to work.
  • Strong business development skills, with the ability to identify new business opportunities and build on existing relationships.
