Responsibilities:

As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for:

  • Representing Everlast Gyms as an ambassador for fitness
  • Demonstrating our elevated ways of working always
  • Driving all revenue lines from membership sales to product & secondary, to drive profitability
  • Effective management of controllable costs like stock orders & cleaning supplies to eliminate wastage and overspend
  • Leading by example on reception and the gym floor in this member-facing role designed to enhance every visit
  • Ensuring central processes like STRIVE & MOVE are followed & delivered to the highest level consistently
  • Driving collective buy-in to national focuses & incentives like #WORKOUTWEDNESDAY & #WeCommunicate
  • Leading the recruiting, monitoring, training and onboarding of new team members within your gym
  • Ensuring that all daily, weekly & monthly operational processes are completed consistently and to a high standard using our in-house systems
  • Providing honest, constructive feedback regularly to support all team members in achieving their potential and challenging them on a daily basis
  • Reporting facilities & maintenance related issues in accordance with best practice guidelines
  • Managing club rotas based on budgets, ensuring fully trained team members are always onsite
  • Being resilient and agile to react to challenging situations and find solutions
  • Able to effectively manage all policies and procedures including Health & Safety, inclusive of pool plant operations
  • Ensuring consistently high standards of cleanliness and presentation at all times whether on-shift or not two members of staff are working at the same time.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Possession of a Level 2 qualification in fitness (desirable)
  • 1+ year previous management role experience within the fitness industry
  • Strong leadership qualities
  • Adaptability in communication and management style depending on the team member and their drivers
  • A positive, solutions-driven mindset in the face of adversity
  • A member champion mentality with exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Driven and ambitious with a keen desire to learn and develop both behaviours and competencies specific to the role
  • Flexibility in working hours and location to support the needs of the business including weekends and Bank Holidays when required
