Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Shift Engineering Manager to lead our site maintenance function and establish policies and procedures to ensure best practice. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing a reactive and proactive, multi-skilled maintenance service on all operational equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct Line Management: Coach, train, and mentor the Manufacturing Engineering & Maintenance team to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Project Management: Oversee all aspects of M.E projects to support site development and launch, including planning workloads for major projects during production shutdown periods.
  • Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams to deliver on-time, on-cost product launches and ensure successful coordination of running changes.
  • Operational Excellence: Drive continuous improvement activities, manage plant interface, and coordinate corrective actions to minimize downtime.
  • Communication: Liaise with outside contractors as needed and ensure that agreed work is completed to a satisfactory standard.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Must have a food manufacturing background, with experience in bakery processes a plus.
  • Skills: Good levels of literacy and numeracy, strong communication and decision-making skills, and the ability to lead by example.
