Position Overview:
We are looking for a skilled Field Service Engineer to become a vital part of our organization. This position entails considerable travel both domestically and abroad, post-training.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee commissioning processes for newly manufactured machines during Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) in the UK and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) internationally.
  • Promote ongoing enhancements by providing feedback to mechanical, electrical, and control engineering teams.
  • Coordinate upgrade installations and validation procedures for existing machinery.
  • Support planning for machine relocations.
  • Document Overall Equipment Effectiveness and track commissioning issues.
  • Lead commissioning tasks for New Product Development (NPD) projects.
  • Contribute to all relevant documentation, including machine manuals, qualification protocols, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and future machine User Requirement Specifications (URS).
  • Maintain logs of machine settings and modifications.
  • Collaborate closely with controls engineers on machine performance analytics.

Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in equipment commissioning, preferably with international exposure.
  • Strong electromechanical comprehension.
  • Background in electrical, mechanical, or control engineering.
  • Familiarity with PLCs (ability to write or modify structured text code is a plus).
  • Capability to interpret electrical and pneumatic schematics.
  • Knowledge of various motor drive technologies, including servo, DC, stepper, and AC motors.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify cause-and-effect relationships.
  • Exceptional communication abilities.

Daily Activities:
  • Travel across the UK and internationally for commissioning tasks.
  • Lead and engage in commissioning, upgrade installations, and machine relocation planning.
  • Work collaboratively with mechanical, electrical, and control engineering teams.
  • Document and manage machine settings and modifications.
  • Continuously foster improvements through feedback and analytical insights.
