Position Overview
Gonville & Caius College is seeking a remarkable individual to join our team as Assistant to the Senior Bursar. This role is pivotal in providing comprehensive administrative support to the Senior Bursar, assisting with a diverse range of responsibilities including financial management, investment oversight, legal compliance, record-keeping, and human resources.
This is a fixed-term role for 9 months, designed to cover maternity leave within the Bursary team. The team collaborates closely with key stakeholders across various departments within the College and the broader Collegiate University. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, along with a solid understanding of data protection regulations, technological proficiency, and a high degree of discretion.
The responsibilities of this position include managing diaries, correspondence, and documentation for various committees, as well as engaging in a variety of tasks that involve different segments of the College community, including Fellows, students, and operational staff. This role is dynamic, requiring initiative and confidentiality, and offers opportunities to interact with a diverse range of individuals both within and outside the College.
This position is ideally full-time, offering a competitive salary package of £40,753, commensurate with experience and qualifications. We are open to considering candidates interested in flexible working arrangements, such as reduced hours or part-time schedules. Additionally, flexibility in working hours may be available during university breaks, and remote work options could be accommodated.
