We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Practice Development Nurse to join our team at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading, supporting, and coordinating the development of education programs for Healthcare Support Workers (HCSWs).
About the RoleThe Practice Development Nurse will work closely with clinical educators and other stakeholders to design and deliver education programs that meet the needs of HCSWs. This will include coordinating education activities, assessments, and evaluations to ensure that HCSWs have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality patient care.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for facilitating induction programs, including delivering the National Care Certificate Programme, and providing clinical expertise and support to HCSWs in practice.
Key Responsibilities- Lead, support, and coordinate the development of education programs for HCSWs
- Coordinate education activities, assessments, and evaluations to ensure HCSWs have the necessary skills and knowledge
- Facilitate induction programs, including delivering the National Care Certificate Programme
- Provide clinical expertise and support to HCSWs in practice
- Monitor and be responsible for ensuring all Trust HCSWs successfully complete the mandatory National Care Certificate standards
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Practice Development Nurse who has:
- A first-level registered nurse qualification with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (UK)
- A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or equivalent
- Practice Assessor or equivalent
- Experience of teaching and assessing learners (face-to-face, blended, e-learning)
- Experience of working in a role developing practice
