We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Manager to join our team at PYVITAL LTD. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with food safety standards and maintaining our BRC AA grade rating.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all aspects of HACCP, ensuring food handling and processing standards are met and adhered to at all times.
  • Lead the preparation for the annual BRC audit, ensuring all documentation, procedures, and safety protocols are up to date.
  • Ensure that all processes, from production to delivery, are executed according to the highest food safety standards, identifying and correcting any non-compliance issues.
  • Manage and mentor the Technical Assistant, ensuring their tasks align with the company's safety and quality requirements.
  • Regularly review and update food safety processes and systems to ensure they meet evolving industry standards.
  • Collaborate closely with the Operations Manager to align technical operations with overall business objectives.
  • Monitor and report on food safety performance, providing insights and improvements where necessary.
Requirements
  • Strong technical background in food safety, preferably within the food service or meat production industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of BRC standards and HACCP principles, with hands-on experience in managing audits and maintaining high-grade certifications.
  • Experience working in a cold, refrigerated environment, ensuring processes adhere to temperature control and safety standards.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and prepare thoroughly for audits.
  • Strong leadership abilities, with experience managing a small technical team and mentoring staff.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, problem-solve, and adapt to regulatory changes.
