Job Title: Senior Rendering Engineer

Lighthouse Games is a new AAA studio in Leamington Spa, renowned for its exceptional talent and ambitious vision to create a best-in-class game. As a Senior Rendering Engineer, you will have the opportunity to learn from industry experts and collaborate with future leaders in the gaming industry.

Job Purpose

The Senior Rendering Engineer will work closely with all disciplines to maximize the potential of the engine and hardware. Utilizing Unreal Engine 5 as the foundation, you will enhance and expand the engine to deliver world-class visuals and gameplay.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Engine Lead and other discipline heads to optimize engine performance
  • Own and deliver large-scale projects autonomously, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results
  • Mentor less experienced team members, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
  • Proactively identify opportunities to enhance quality and efficiency across the team
  • Contribute to a collaborative and creative team environment, fostering open communication and innovation
Requirements
  • Proven experience as an Engine or Rendering Engineer on multiple AAA titles
  • Extensive knowledge of modern and emerging gaming technologies and techniques
  • Expertise in multiple areas, with the ability to lead development and drive innovation
  • Strong C++ skills, including profiling, debugging, and optimizing code
  • Solid understanding of code architecture best practices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to work independently, plan, and meet scheduled goals autonomously
  • Excellent attention to detail and a passion for gaming and game development
  • Experience with Unreal Engine 4 or 5 on a AAA title
  • Experience mentoring other Engineers
  • Experience working on current generation consoles
  • Experience working on open-world titles
