Cyber Security Analyst Opportunity

TEKsystems is seeking a skilled Cyber Security Analyst to join their Edinburgh-based team. As a key member of the security team, you will be responsible for monitoring and analyzing security threats, identifying vulnerabilities, and implementing effective incident response strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and analyze security threats using Splunk/SIEM, analysis, intrusion detection, and AWS.
  • Develop and implement incident response plans, including use case creation and development.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Engineering and Head of Security to ensure effective security operations.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends and technologies, including endpoint detection and response (Crowdstrike or Carbon Black).
Requirements:
  • Experience in Security Operations Centre (SOC) and prior experience in security operations.
  • Strong understanding of security technologies, including Splunk/SIEM, analysis, intrusion detection, and AWS.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing security threats.
