We are seeking two Library Experience & Engagement Facilitators to enhance our team on a permanent basis.
Role Overview:
The successful candidates will be part of the Library Experience & Engagement team within Curatorial and Public Practice, reporting to the Library Experience and Engagement Manager. This team collaborates with various departments across Wellcome Collection to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all visitors.
Our team provides essential support to users at library service points and through remote inquiries, ensuring that all patrons receive timely and accurate access to information and resources. We also facilitate the retrieval of collection items from our closed stores for both visitors and staff.
Engaging visitors with our collections and spaces is a core aspect of our mission. We achieve this by sharing our expertise through diverse activities, including guided visits and events, while also developing partnerships and participation initiatives with key audiences.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Library Experience and Engagement Facilitator, you will contribute to fostering an inclusive atmosphere by integrating visitor experience expertise with engagement practices, knowledge of our collections, and collaboration with priority audiences.
Your responsibilities will include:
Delivering high-quality assistance to users at library service points and through inquiry channels Collaborating with colleagues to ensure a consistent and positive user experience across Wellcome Collection Sharing knowledge and expertise to enhance visitor engagement Partnering with the Collections & Digital teams to execute essential processes such as journal check-in and cataloguing of new acquisitions Researching, developing, and implementing innovative engagement activities tailored to priority audiences, in collaboration with various teams Promoting a diverse and inclusive culture throughout the organization by working across departments.Candidate Profile:
Ideal candidates will possess strong communication skills and experience engaging diverse audiences. You should be adept at presenting information clearly to groups of varying sizes.
