About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and safety-conscious Plant Operator to join our team at Biogen (UK) Ltd. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our Anaerobic Digestion (AD) plant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the safe operation of the AD plant, including routine checking and maintenance activities.
  • Participate in a team environment to operate the site, ensuring high standards of housekeeping and cleanliness are maintained.
  • Follow health and safety and environmental regulations, and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Assist with the intake, sorting, and loading of food waste arriving on site.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of process improvements to enhance plant efficiency and productivity.
Requirements
  • Relevant experience in a related industry, preferably in waste management or a similar field.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and procedures.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues.
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, and ability to perform routine maintenance tasks.
  • Valid driving license and willingness to work at heights and in confined spaces.
What We Offer
  • Competitive salary range of £24,000 - £27,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
  • Overtime paid for approved additional hours worked.
  • 25 days holiday per annum, plus bank holidays.
