About the Role
The Training Equipment Assets Manager will be responsible for leading a small team of equipment administrators and managing a number of Government Furnished Assets (GFA) across multiple RN sites. This role will involve maintaining accurate records of training equipment, attending relevant meetings, and overseeing the management and maintenance of training equipment assets across the Selborne Estates.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading a small team of equipment administrators
- Managing a number of Government Furnished Assets (GFA) across multiple RN sites
- Maintaining accurate records of training equipment
- Attending relevant meetings
- Overseeing the management and maintenance of training equipment assets across the Selborne Estates
- Providing regular reports on asset utilisation, maintenance schedules, and any issues related to training equipment
- Conducting Training Equipment Audits as required
- Working closely with other Key Stakeholders teams to ensure seamless integration of training equipment into educational programs
- Developing and implementing updates to the Asset Database
- Overseeing the population and ongoing maintenance of the Asset Database
- Managing data quality and ensuring data governance
- Creating reports and dashboards to monitor assets and identify improvement opportunities
- Collaborating with teams and the business to ensure effective asset management throughout the life of the contract
- Ensuring compliance with safety standards, maintenance protocols, and relevant regulations
- Championing and fostering a culture of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) compliance and continuous improvement
Requirements
- Managing large amounts of assets
- Dealing with difficult or unusual requests
- Managing a team
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with diverse teams
Desirable Qualifications
- Management of Government Assets including alignment with the relevant DefStans and JSP's
- Working within MoD contracts
- Risk management
- Financial analysis
- Institute of Asset Management (IAM) Diploma or working towards qualification
- Some familiarity with training equipment used in military or educational settings
