Job Title: Senior Buyer
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Buyer to join our Procurement Department at RENISHAW PLC. As a Senior Buyer, you will be responsible for managing and developing supplier and stakeholder relationships, negotiating with suppliers to meet organisational targets, and delivering cost reduction opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supplier Relationship Management: Collaborate with the wider Procurement Group to develop efficient purchasing techniques and encourage best practice.
- Commercial Negotiation: Effectively manage and control supplier and stakeholder relationships both internally and externally, and commercially focused negotiation with suppliers to ensure cost management targets are realised.
- Contract Management: Responsible for the creation, implementation and management of Supplier Contracts.
- Cost Reduction: Deliver cost reduction opportunities whilst negotiating terms and conditions to achieve best price and quality.
- Risk Management: Identify risks and provide support to implement solutions to manage/mitigate them.
- Project Delivery: Deliver key projects as part of a cross-functional team, representing the commercial needs of the business.
Requirements:
- Experience: Experience of managing, driving, and developing supplier and stakeholder relationships, and a successful track record in negotiation with suppliers to meet organisational targets.
- Category Management: Experience of purchasing across a variety of categories, including but not limited to Capital equipment, hardware/software, maintenance & support services.
- Commodity Purchasing: Understanding of the various approaches and strategies to commodity purchasing, working in line with functional requirements to meet departmental objectives and KPIs.
- IT Skills: Proficient IT skills (Microsoft Office etc.).
- Qualifications: CIPS qualification or relevant STEM/Business Degree would be advantageous, but not essential.
- Personal Qualities: Enthusiastic, self-driven, determined, persuasive and thorough in approach and capable of working independently and in a team environment.
