About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electronics Design and Development Engineer to join our team at Recruitment Helpline Ltd. As an Electronics Design and Development Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing electronic products for the automotive industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop new electronic products, including automotive battery management equipment, switch mode DC-DC battery chargers, and voltage converters.
  • Liaise with customers to design products to their requirements, including designing electronic circuits, transferring information to electronic circuit software, and providing files for sub-contract PCB production.
  • Produce drawings or samples from customer schematics or samples, including loom and wiring harness work.
  • Maintain, modify, repair, and calibrate computer-controlled test equipment.
  • Organize the testing of products, including writing test programmes and creating test sequences.
  • Build prototypes, create part lists, production drawings, and mechanical drawings, and build test rigs and equipment.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Working knowledge of Raspberry Pi and Python (ability to write Python code an advantage).
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Ability to work alone and as part of a team.
  • Self-motivated.
