Job Title: Deputy General Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy General Manager to join our team at Langdale Chase Hotel. As a key member of our senior leadership team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the effective and efficient delivery of a five-star standard service and exceptional guest experience across all hotel departments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Host and supervise to the highest calibre, ensuring all team members maintain a high level of hospitality at all times to all guests.
  • Demonstrate an impeccable knowledge of the hotel facilities to offer the best possible service to guests.
  • Ensure all guests receive a personalized, high-quality service throughout the guest journey, meeting and exceeding expectations.
  • Attend senior leadership team meetings and hold monthly meetings with department managers to review and discuss departmental priorities.
  • Be fully commercially aware of sales and budgets across all departments.
  • Coach and develop department managers and ensure the team has a high level of knowledge relating to the hotel product plan.
  • Deputise in the absence of the General Manager, ensuring a smooth operation across all departments.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a similar senior management role, preferably from a food and beverage management background.
  • Ideally, experience working in a high-quality four-star or five-star hotel.
  • Warm hospitality will come naturally to you, and you will have a true passion for providing the highest levels of guest service.
  • Extensive knowledge of providing exceptional levels of guest service in the restaurant and bar, with a genuine interest in food and wine.
  • Exemplary customer service skills, good interpersonal skills, and the ability to work well with others to represent the company and the hotel in a loyal, professional, and knowledgeable manner.
  • A strong work ethic with the ability to multi-task while working in a pressurized environment.
