About the Role

The Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Physiotherapist to join our Outpatient Physiotherapy team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. As a Band 6 Physiotherapist, you will be responsible for assessing and treating patients with a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and treat patients with musculoskeletal conditions, including those referred from General Practitioners, orthopaedics, Rheumatology, and A&E.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  • Develop and maintain a clinical caseload, providing supervision to junior members of staff and students.
  • Participate in clinical teaching and in-service training sessions, contributing to the ongoing development of the team.
  • Contribute to the development of the Outpatient Physiotherapy service, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing changes as needed.

Requirements

  • Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy.
  • Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council.
  • Degree or Diploma in Physiotherapy.
  • Relevant Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
  • Previous experience as a junior or senior Physiotherapist in a musculoskeletal setting.
  • Working knowledge of a broad range of patient conditions.
  • Experience of audit and research.
