We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Hospitality Cafe Assistant to join our team at St Monica Trust. As a key member of our cafe team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, preparing and serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and serve food and beverages to a high standard, ensuring customer satisfaction and meeting dietary requirements.
- Work collaboratively with the Head Chef and Catering Team Lead to implement menu changes and improve the overall dining experience.
- Manage the Front of House service, promoting good customer service and making improvements to the dining experience.
- Conduct daily temperature checks and maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Plan and manage stock rotation, ordering, and inventory using the Caternet system.
- Complete internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with health and safety, HACCP, and COSHH regulations.
- Deputise for the Head Chef as required and line manage a team of Hospitality Assistants.
- Diploma Level 2 in Food Production/Catering or equivalent.
- Experience of supervising others and managing a team.
- Knowledge of special dietary requirements and modified diets, advising on nutrition, hydration, and dietary needs.
- Previous experience working within a budget and managing stock.
- Experience working in a busy and fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Good standard of IT skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, and bespoke systems.
We offer a competitive salary of £12.00 per hour, basic plus enhancement for weekend working, 31 days holiday allowance, access to free gym and pool, generous pension, subsidised meals, discounts on shopping, on-site parking, and much more.
