Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Contractor Performance Engineer to join our Asset Solutions team. The successful candidate will be responsible for inputting to and updating the Asset Solutions subcontracts plan, ensuring it is delivered on time and to the required standard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and issue approved contracts to selected contractors and deal with subsequent contract negotiations and amendments.
  • Liaise with legal, tax, insurance and compliance teams to obtain their input into subcontracts.
  • Support Project Managers in presenting the Company's position to suppliers and advising managers on their subcontract rights and obligations.

Performance Culture

The successful candidate will lead and promote a performance culture, focusing on delivery-focused solutions and value creation. This will include managing the resolution of subcontract claims and disputes, contributing to the creation of the annual contractor performance feedback review plan, and carrying out performance feedback reviews in accordance with the plan.

Requirements

  • Solid working knowledge of logistics-based terms and conditions, including the ability to work with and modify special conditions.
  • Strong working ability dealing with typical supply chain practices and protocols, including ITT/RFQ/Market Analysis/Single Source/Negotiation.
  • Awareness of performance metrics and post-award contract management methods.
  • Experience in drafting and working with contracts for all tiers of suppliers in differing commercial and contractual arrangements.
  • Degree in Law, Law & Management, or Quantity Surveying is preferred but not essential, depending on the experience of the candidate.
  • Strong systems skills, including MS Office and Oracle.
  • Considerable oil and gas experience in tendering, awarding, managing and negotiating contracts and subcontracts.
