We Recruit Group Ltd is collaborating with a prestigious property and construction consultancy that has been a cornerstone of the industry for over a century. This organization is renowned for its low employee turnover and an impressive portfolio of high-profile projects.

With ambitious growth objectives for the upcoming year, they are engaged in numerous large frameworks and possess a robust pipeline of projects for the foreseeable future. Consequently, they are seeking a seasoned Lead CDM Consultant or Principal Designer to enhance their team (currently consisting of 8 professionals) and provide CDM/PD services to clients throughout London and the South East.

The firm is involved in several remarkable super-prime residential high-rise developments in London, award-winning commercial ventures, and landmark projects that are reshaping the London skyline, including museums, art galleries, and healthcare facilities.

This role is ideal for an experienced CDM/PD professional who feels their current position lacks growth opportunities and desires to join a company that offers excellent career advancement, a distinguished project portfolio, and a collaborative team of safety experts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a comprehensive range of health & safety/CDM services to a diverse clientele.
  • Manage design risk registers, ensuring they are regularly updated as projects progress, and conduct design risk assessments along with design team meetings, offering insights on safety in design.
  • Be well-versed in all relevant documentation related to CDM 2015, such as Construction Phase Plans (CPPs), Pre-Construction Information (PCI), and Health & Safety files, ensuring these documents are consistently updated.
  • Engage with various stakeholders on projects, including clients, principal contractors, and architects, keeping them informed about health & safety/CDM matters.
  • Ensure that Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) are established for each project.
  • Foster and develop client relationships while building new connections.

Qualifications:

  • NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent.
  • NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • Membership in IOSH, APS, IIRSM, or a similar professional organization.
  • Thorough understanding of the 2015 CDM Regulations.
  • Solid knowledge of the Building Safety Act and its implications for the industry.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
