Job Title: CNC Setter Operator

Job Summary:

Omega Resource Group is seeking a skilled CNC Setter Operator to join our team. As a CNC Setter Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating multiple CNC machines, reading and editing programs, and conducting quality control checks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manufacture camshafts and crankshafts for Automotive and Aerospace customers.
  • Set and operate machines in a safe manner, complying with the Health and Safety at Work Act.
  • Produce components to the company standard in the most efficient and cost-effective manner.
  • Be familiar with all systems and procedures of the job.
  • Ensure that information is transferred between shifts and team members as required.
  • Highlight problems as soon as they occur to the Team Leader or Shift Leader.
  • Keep the working area clean and tidy.
  • Work within departmental and company procedures.

Requirements:

  • Ability to read, interpret, and communicate technical information and drawings.
  • Experience using Multi Axis Mill/Turn machines is essential.
  • Experience using 4 Axis Milling Machines and 2/3 Axis Lathes.
  • Experience of Fanuc Controls.
  • Ability to problem solve and see errors in NC code.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP) and DNC Software (Seiki).
