Job Title:

CNC 5-Axis Setter Operator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled CNC 5-Axis Setter Operator to join our team at Omega Resource Group. As a CNC 5-Axis Setter Operator, you will be responsible for operating multiple 5-axis machines to manufacture pistons for sports super/hyper car manufacturers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set and operate multiple DMG machines in the piston department.
  • Perform manual manufacturing operations.
  • Manufacture/modify pistons to support internal/external engine development programs.
  • Use measuring equipment to ensure component compliance.
  • Mentor and instruct junior employees & apprentices to perform manufacturing operations.
  • Committed to continuous improvement and suggest improvements regarding methods, processes, and tooling.
  • Fulfil any other reasonable requirement consistent with departmental objectives.
Requirements:
  • Ability to read, interpret and communicate technical information.
  • Be conversant with machine code; Heidenhain 530I & 640 preferred.
  • Ability to use Fanuc based machines. This includes Hitachi, Seiki and Matsuura (advantageous but not essential).
  • Ability to problem solve and see errors in NC code.
  • Basic numerical and computer skills.
  • Effective communicator both verbal and written.
  • Committed and enthusiastic.
  • Automotive engineering experience/background.
