Job Summary

Azets is seeking a highly skilled Tax Director - Private Client to join our team. As a key member of our Private Client Tax team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of private clients, overseeing the compliance process, and identifying tax-sensitive expenditure and wider tax issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of private clients, overseeing the compliance process and ensuring timely completion of tax returns.
  • Identify tax-sensitive expenditure and wider tax issues, providing expert advice to clients and supporting the Tax Partners in delivering tax advisory services.
  • Support the Tax Partners in delivering tax advisory services, including conducting research into complex areas of tax legislation.
  • Manage the private client tax team, providing coaching and guidance to team members, conducting appraisals, and monitoring team productivity and WIP.
  • Establish strong working relationships with clients, attending client meetings, and providing guidance and feedback to others in the team.

Requirements

  • CTA/ACA/ACCA/CA (or equivalent) qualified.
  • Previous Personal/Private Client/Mixed Tax experience in a similar role within a practice environment is essential.
  • Strong technical knowledge and the ability to carry out research into complex areas of tax legislation.
  • Ability to seek new business opportunities and contribute to the growth of the Private Client Tax team.
