Our client, a leading global provider of integrated processing, production, and pumping solutions, is seeking experienced mechanical assembly technicians to become part of their dynamic team. This role offers a pathway from temporary to permanent employment, ensuring job security and growth opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct production tests in accordance with established protocols and generate precise test documentation.
- Utilize machinery, hand tools, and power tools to secure components effectively.
- Operate equipment safely to produce products that meet quality standards.
Qualifications:
- Completion of a time-served apprenticeship in a Mechanical Engineering field, equivalent to City and Guilds Level 3 or NVQ Level 3 (mandatory).
- HNC/HND qualification or equivalent, with a focus on Mechanical Engineering (preferred).
- Proven experience as a mechanical fitter, particularly in areas such as valves, machinery assembly, and compressors, excluding automotive sectors.
- Familiarity with PC pumps and wastewater product assemblies is advantageous.
- Knowledge of mechanical seals is a plus.
- Extensive background in PC pumps and wastewater products, ideally within a service-oriented environment, is desirable.
Essential Skills:
- Proficiency in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Completion of manual handling and slinging & lifting training (essential).
- Basic electrical knowledge is beneficial.
