Position Overview:
We are seeking a Principal EC&I Engineer to enhance our client's engineering capabilities in the industrial gases sector. The successful candidate will possess a robust background in hazardous environments and will be adept at designing control systems.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement safety and control systems tailored for hazardous settings.
- Conduct HAZOP and LOPA studies along with comprehensive risk assessments.
- Lead Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT).
- Supervise site surveys, audits, and the installation process.
- Execute pre-commissioning tests and manage the final setup of systems.
- Utilize Siemens TIA for PLC, HMI, and SCADA programming.
- Be open to potential global travel as required.

Position Requirements:
- Proven experience in designing safety systems in compliance with IEC61511.
- Familiarity with control systems for explosive atmospheres according to BS EN / IEC60079 standards.
- Proficient in engaging with HAZOP and LOPA studies and conducting risk assessments.
- Capable of leading FAT and SAT processes.
- Experience in overseeing site surveys, audits, and installation activities.
- Competent in performing pre-commissioning tests.
- Proficient in Siemens TIA for PLC, HMI, and SCADA, with additional knowledge in Ignition configuration, SQL, and Networking being advantageous.
- Must reside within a reasonable commuting distance.

Remuneration:
- Competitive salary ranging from £65,000 to £70,000 depending on experience.
- Hybrid working model available post-probation.
- Annual bonus structure.
- Standard working hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
- Business mileage compensation.
- Generous holiday allowance of 33 days, inclusive of bank holidays.
