About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Technician to join our team at York Teaching Hospital Facilities Management (LLP). As an Electrical Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing electrical systems, ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair electrical systems, including installation and testing of electrical equipment
  • Conduct routine inspections and maintenance tasks to ensure electrical systems are functioning correctly
  • Identify and report any electrical faults or issues to the maintenance team
  • Work collaboratively with other maintenance teams to ensure effective maintenance and repair of electrical systems
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of electrical systems and technologies to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations

Requirements

  • Completed an accredited trade-specific engineering apprenticeship (3-4 years)
  • Current driving license with no more than 12 points within any 3-year period
  • Inspection & Test (2391), LOLER, Asbestos, Confined spaces, and First Aid Training

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

  • Specialist expertise in Health service knowledge across a range of technical subjects
  • Knowledge and experience of electrical infrastructure and emergency generator supply
