About the Role


As an integral member of the Direct Repairs department at Southern Housing, the Electrician plays a vital role in delivering a comprehensive, efficient, and responsive property service. This position involves occasional Out of Hours work, which can enhance earnings.

The Electrician will work closely with the Direct Services Team, focusing on Voids, EICR, and day-to-day repairs. Key responsibilities include providing clear guidance and support to operatives in managing repairs and ensuring a high level of service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate repair activities, ensuring timely completion and customer satisfaction.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to operatives, promoting best practices and efficient work methods.
  • Collaborate with the Direct Services Team to achieve departmental goals and objectives.

Requirements and Qualifications


The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. A strong understanding of electrical systems and repair procedures is essential, as is the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
