Estate Management Specialist

The Estate Surveyor will report to the Manager and utilize their knowledge and technical expertise to ensure the Council estate is managed in accordance with landlord and tenant laws. Key responsibilities include property contact negotiations, lease and licence term management, and ongoing relationship maintenance to achieve corporate outcomes.
Key Duties/Accountabilities- Delivery of a case load as agreed with the Manager, with support from the Senior/Principal surveyor
- Negotiation of rent reviews and calculations, lease and licence terms, and lease assignments
- Management of easements, wayleaves, and other general estate management contractual negotiations
Property inspection, including basic building pathology, landlord and tenant experience, lease renewals, rent reviews, assignments, VOA awareness, lettings, licences to alter, assignment, and changes of use, purchase and sale of land and property.
Essential Qualifications RequiredGood standard of education and evidence of continuing professional development in property surveying or a similar discipline.
Additional Information37.5 hours per week, 12 days in the office per week. Evidence of IT literacy, including a sound knowledge of tasks, systems, databases, and proven ability to manage a range of conflicting work demands and pressures.
