EC&I Technician Job Description

OLG Recruitment is seeking a skilled EC&I Technician to join our client's team in Cumbria. This is a full-time permanent position that requires a strong background in electrical, control, and instrumentation maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance, defect repairs, and project work on electrical, control, and instrumentation systems.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop method statements to ensure safe working practices.
  • Troubleshoot EC&I problems and document issues.
  • Provide technical support for day-to-day engineering and maintenance activities.
  • Develop and improve maintenance procedures, work plans, and project scoping documents.
  • Specify and order replacement equipment and materials.
  • Supervise contractor personnel to ensure work is technically correct and safe.
  • Review contractor method statements, risk assessments, and other safety documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with current standards and legislation, including DSEAR, EAWR, and HASAWA.
  • Update work order records and reports through the site CMMS.
  • Provide out-of-hours cover on a rotating on-call rota.
